Policy Committee to Hold Hearing on Jobs, Economy

WHAT: Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin), chairman of the House Majority Policy Committee, together with Rep. Mindy Fee (R-Manheim), deputy chairwoman of the House Majority Policy Committee, will host a hearing to discuss challenges facing Pennsylvania’s economy and business climate, as part of a statewide jobs tour.

Local business owners and statewide business associations will provide testimony to the committee on state taxes and regulations, how to improve the state’s business climate, the preparedness of Pennsylvania graduates to fill in-demand jobs and how to attract new business to the area.

WHO: Benninghoff and Fee will be joined by several House members from across the state. Testifiers will include representatives from the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, National Federation of Independent Businesses, and Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association, as well as local employers Fulton Bank, Mt. Joy Wire, Wenger Feeds Inc., and New Holland Agriculture and Construction.
