HARRISBURG – Rep. Mindy Fee (R-Manheim) today took the oath of office to officially start her first term representing the 37th District in Lancaster County.
“Acting as the voice of 60,000 people is an awesome responsibility, and I am looking forward to representing the citizens of the 37th District in the state House,” said Fee. “My offices in Manheim and Denver have been up and running since the beginning of December, and I am very excited to learn what my committees are and to start voting on the issues important to the people I serve.”
Fee, a lifetime resident of the Manheim area, was elected in November to serve the 37th District, which is comprised of the townships of Clay, East Cocalico, West Cocalico, Elizabeth, Mount Joy, Penn and Rapho and the boroughs of Denver, Adamstown and Manheim.
Prior to her election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Fee was employed by TransAmerican Office Furniture, giving her more than two decades of small business experience.
Fee noted the economy and jobs will be at the top of her priority list this session.
“Our economy has turned around since the 2008 downturn, but there are still too many people searching for work,” said Fee. “We need to continue to get government out of the way of Pennsylvania’s job creators to forge a stronger economy brimming with family-sustaining jobs.”
Along with her focus on jump starting the economy, Fee also will concentrate on eliminating wasteful government spending, purging welfare rolls of fraudulent claims, and supporting Lancaster County’s agricultural and conservative values.
